Adventure Northumberland goes North - New for 2022, Stand up Paddle Boarding at Paxton House on the River Tweed, near Berwick upon Tweed.
Paxton House is in Scotland, a Georgian country house with its own campsite, cafe, walks and playground is the start for this trip which takes us through England and Scotland.
Who is this trip for? - Whether you've been on a paddle board before, looking to start paddleboarding, or are just looking for a fun activity for the day, this trip is perfect for you. The session will begin with Introductions with your guide, a chat about the board and equipment supplied.
Expect to be on the river for about two hours and allow an hour for getting in and out of equipment.
These sessions include games and it’s an opportunity learn whilst having fun, oh and did we mention getting wet?
When do we offer Stand-up Paddle Boarding?
Our season runs from May to the end of October. Sessions at Paxton house will run weekdays during school holidays with two sessions per day and weekends outside of school holidays.
If you wish to book as an individual or a large group, or a date not shown, then please contact us to discuss.
We will supply the boards and your wetsuit as well as safety equipment. In warm weather, you may wish to wear your own clothes, shorts & T-Shirts.
Bring footwear that you are happy to get wet. wetsuit type shoes or trainers are ideal. We would also suggest a drink and some snacks.
You will need a swimsuit under your wetsuit and a towel to dry off afterward.

The minimum age for this activity is 8 yrs old, but don't let the youngsters have all the fun, join in, it’s more fun if everyone enjoys the experience together. We may ask parents to share a board with those youngsters, it can be hard work and younger members of families may not have the stamina.
