Micro Adventure - River Tweed

New for Summer 2022 - River Tweed Micro Adventure

This year we are now based at Paxton House on The River Tweed and from here, we run our micro-adventures.

What's a Micro-Adventures?

Micro Adventures are short action-packed adventures, one night, start late and finish early the next day.

Ours is a trip on the River Tweed, either by Canoe or SUP, we spend the night sleeping under the stars on one of The River Tweed's many islands.

Itinerary:

Day 1: Meet at 4 pm at Paxton House, near Berwick upon Tweed. We will issue equipment pack bags and load our canoes or SUPs for our night out.

Then it's about a 90-minute paddle upstream, passing under the famous Chain Bridge up towards Horncliffe and Norham.

We will select a campsite on one of the islands. Set up camp, using our boats or bords to create a shelter with a tarp.

Cooking is on an open fire using a hotplate to grill food.

Day 2: We return back to our base at Paxton House, unload the boats and have you on your way home by 10.30

  • Canoe for 2 people or SUP for 1 person
