Our Covid-19 Policy

Here at Adventure Northumberland, we are committed to the safety of our staff and customers. We have therefore developed a policy intended to keep you safe, whilst having fun and enjoying exercise in the fresh air.

In Summary:

Guided Activities

There are a number of changes in the way we work to keep you safe.

  • You must pre-book a session and this must be done 48hrs in advance.
  • On arrival can the lead member of your group make themselves known to our staff. Social distancing should be maintained. The equipment you use has been cleaned in disinfectant. Your guide/instructor will explain how to fit it properly. Please ask them to go over again any points you don't understand.
  • We will ask you to download and print a consent form before attending, sharing clipboards and pens on site is not possible. We can supply a copy of the form for you to complete at your car.
  • If you have symptoms of Coranvirues, a high temperature, loss of taste or smell or a new and constant cough, please do not travel. Latest NHS advice on Coronavirus symptoms can be found by clicking here.
  • For 2020 we intended to introduce changing facilities at all locations, however, this is now on hold for health reasons. Please go back to your car to change.

These are challenging times for us all we must all follow Government advice on social distancing and where appropriate wear suitable PPE. However, we cannot allow you on the water with our staff if you are wearing a face covering. The use of face coverings in water brings it a risk of drowning.

This list covers the basics of our policy, our staff have been trained in the delivery of activities and are all first aid trained. For your own safety and that of our staff, please listen to what they say.

Payments and Refunds

These are uncertain times, and there are many changes ahead of us and it may be that you have to cancel at the last minute. To facilitate this we have amended our cancellation policy. If you cancel for health reasons we will refund you in full. We have also reduced the deposit payable to 10% and the full balance will be collected automatically 1 day before your booking.

Cancellations:

If you or a member of your household displays symptoms of Covid-19. You must inform us immediately. We will cancel your booking and refund you.

It also follows that our staff are not immune to this virus and may at very short notice have to self-isolate. We will attempt to re-allocate staff or move you to another time date but it may be necessary to cancel the booking. Your understanding and patience are appreciated, we are doing all we can to be as flexible as possible when accepting a booking, this has to work both ways. It is inevitable that at some point in the future we will have to cancel a booking.

Post Activity:

If in the 14 days after you leave us, you or a member of your household display symptoms of Covid-19, please inform us immediately, so we can take appropriate action.
